IN THE CIRCLE OF LIFE :  Wild Plants and All My Other Relations

I have been taught…
that all beings are my relatives
(the plants as well as the animals) and,
entitled to the same dignities and survival.

I have been taught…
that we...as participant in the Circle of Life,
have no choice but to take from it and,
in so doing, inevitably alter that Circle.

I have been taught…
that not only for our own survival, but
for all the others within the Circle of Life,
we must maintain a balance and harmony,
within that Circle, for our Mother, the Earth.
